SurfPunks Aims to Build Tight-Knit Surfer Community in the Digital Space, Partners with Mauli Ola Foundation for Ocean-Healing Program
Five hundred free-spirited, radical pixel surfers are entering the Ethereum blockchain, and they are powerfully riding the NFT wave. SurfPunks are collectible characters inspired by the brave souls of surfing communities worldwide. Beyond giving NFt enthusiasts rare collectibles, the project aims to create a significant impact by giving back to a worthy organization that uses the power of the ocean to heal people with genetic diseases.
NFTs have been the talk of the town since its inception. The high-demand tokens have been bought and traded across various blockchains. NFTs can be in the form of digital art, photography, music, and even contracts. The value of NFTs is often dictated by their rarity. With only 500 NFTs comprising its collection, SurfPunks excites investors with its hand-drawn, unique, and limited-edition tokens.
SurfPunks are one-of-one unique NFTs that give holders access to events, discords, and giveaways. Every future owner will automatically become part of the Crypto Surf League (CSL), an educational platform built for those who want to learn more about cryptocurrency. CSL tackles various topics, such as building a crypto wallet, trading digital assets, and studying high net worth projects to know if they’re worth investing in. The CSL team is committed to guiding every holder along their cryptocurrency journey, acknowledging the fact that many still know merely the surface of the industry. Furthermore, holders will be able to participate in future projects through the CSL and enter exclusive events. They will also gain the undeniable support of the surfing community.
The first exclusive event they’ll hold for SurfPunks holders will be held in Waco, Texas, on March 21st at the BSR WavePool and Resort. It will be a day full of surfing on the man-made wave pool, live music by a special guest, food, and NFT chat. Holders will also have a chance to meet some of their favorite surfers and icons.
SurfPunks were created to ride the current wave as many entrepreneurs incorporate the vibe surfing has into the crypto landscape. The founders shared that the trend has been happening all over, from Zuck on an E-Foul to Elon Musk making Tesla surfboards. Surfers have long been admired for being free-spirited, and SurfPunks aims to bring that exact feeling as they ride the crypto wave.
“Who doesn’t want a nice tan, ocean healing, and being part of an exclusive tribe? We’ve been surfing this crypto wave before most of you even heard about Bitcoin from Instagram or saw some YouTuber make millions off some wild Altcoin. With NFTs going absolutely bananas, we wanted to give the opportunity to those who can’t afford a $100,000 NFT. SurfPunks is a project for the people and the ocean,” explained the founders. “Just like the surf community, SurfPunks are part of a small, tight-knit group.”
In addition, SurfPunks is on a mission to amplify the healing powers of the ocean by partnering with Mauli Ola Foundation. The non-profit organization is dedicated to providing hope and confidence to individuals living with genetic diseases. Using the power of the ocean, Mauli Ola Foundation introduces surfing and ocean-based activities as natural therapies to its recipients.
“We have been blessed by surfing and what the ocean offers, so this is our way of merging two worlds to create synergy and growth. We’re excited to bring SurfPunks to the crypto and surf communities,” shared the founders.
The first 500 have been sold out on the website, on the first day of minting. However, these NFTs are still available for minting at OpenSea. There’s also a second collection of SurfPunks in the works. This collection will prepare SurfPunks to live in the metaverse and will provide much more utility in the digital space. They are also gearing up for big partnerships.
