Kimi Weintraub Elevates Startup into a Clubhouse Pitch Contest Success
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kimi Weintraub would stumble upon something unexpected: the inspiration for a successful startup. Little did she know at that point that her young business would have five avid investors on a Clubhouse pitch contest throwing deals at her.
Kimi is a full-time spokesmodel and commercial model who has created a profession in the entertainment industry. She has worked as a voice actor, singer, fashion model, commercial actress, DJ, and host in her career. But past 2020’s worldwide pandemic, she now has added two more skills into her arsenal — business owner and e-commerce expert. In the middle of the pandemic, Kimi would turn her industry-weathered confidence, connections, and keen sense of awareness into a full-blown company that helps other businesses make the shift to digital selling.
What started as a raw idea and a fresh profile on the new and exclusive social media platform Clubhouse would skyrocket into unprecedented heights, leading to multiple successful client cases and an overwhelming number of incoming projects. “I was marketing the business casually since COVID began, but did a soft launch last month since joining the new and exclusive Clubhouse app,” shared Kimi Weintraub. “And now I can’t even handle the requests.”
After taking her brand to new levels of dominance, Kimi would enter Pitch Tank, a Clubhouse pitch event that followed the format of the all-popular television program Shark Tank. On January 20, 2021, Kimi would join over 2,000 business owners in an attempt to win over investors by showcasing their ventures. The entrepreneur was the sixth business to pitch. And while all five prior presenters didn’t get any offers, she would receive offers from all five panel members, including original Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington who even offered her a role in his company.
Ultimately, Kimi would accept the offer of investor Akemi Sue Fisher, who is also known as the “Amazon Queen” for building a $2 billion e-commerce company on the popular selling site. Today, Kimi has started meeting with Akemi to start setting her business up for expansion and growth for 2021 and beyond.
Kimi Weintraub has worked with many of the globe’s most adored companies, including conglomerates and brands like Disney, the Orlando Magic, BMW, Audi, Infiniti, TooJays, The Humane Society, Invicta Watches, iHeartRadio, YMCA, and many others. She has turned a freelance stint into a thriving entertainment and digital commerce company that helps brands and production houses successfully launch quality films, marketing campaigns, and commercials. On top of providing a slew of spokesmodeling, voice acting, and hosting jobs, she has also started a production company that creates high-quality videos for some of the top companies today.
