Higher Grounds Management Provides Guidance to Troubled Individuals
Sometimes life can take a troublesome turn, and one might feel like things are spiraling out of control. In the darkest moments of a person’s family life, marriage, career, or personal affairs, getting professional intervention can be the key to winning over challenges. Higher Grounds Management exists for that very reason: to provide help when help is needed most.
The elite behavior and intervention management company guides troubled individuals and groups by providing family intervention, relapse intervention, accountability, mentorship, and coaching services. Higher Grounds brings together elite behavioral management professionals who have experience in federal and juvenile justice work, family therapy, academic tutoring, and coaching. The organization’s team has certification and licensing in behavior analysis, marriage counseling, and life coaching.
Higher Grounds Management came to life through the vision of Ty Mason, a former gang intervention specialist, juvenile probation officer, and deputy probation officer. Ty holds a degree in psychology and criminal justice from the University of Nevada — Las Vegas. He also attended Sacred Heart Cathedral College Preparatory High School in San Francisco. Ty also holds certifications in mediation and conflict resolution.
Certified life coach and health coach Mike Beiras joins Coach Ty in Higher Grounds. Coach Mike attended Mira Costa High School and Texas Tech, where he earned a degree in psychology. A former United States Probation Officer as well, he has helped a multitude of troubled individuals through substance abuse treatment, high-risk offender case management, crisis intervention, and family mediation.
Collectively, Coach Ty and Coach Mike bring over 38 years of experience to the clients and families. Together, they form Higher Grounds Management and offer schools, students, and families support in building crucial life skills needed to decrease problem behaviors. Through the years, Higher Grounds has helped people from all walks of life. One parent from Hermosa Beach shares her experience with Higher Grounds: “My husband and I have seen more progress with our son in six months with Higher Grounds than we have in the last two years with traditional therapy.”
One of Higher Grounds Management’s signature curricula is the WhyTry Program, a resilience education curriculum that gives youth and their families hands-on and straightforward solutions for school dropout prevention, violence prevention, truancy reduction, and academic success. The program exists to motivate and re-engage students who struggle with specific challenges at home or at school. The program has helped increase student resilience and achievement.
Apart from intervention programs, Coach Ty and Coach Mike also offer other valuable services to schools and families, such as job readiness coaching, specialized sports training, fitness training, creative outlet therapy, and around-the-clock support and therapy for parents. Through their programs, Higher Grounds hopes to give individuals a better shot at creating a better future for themselves by giving them the inner resources needed to become more self-sufficient and responsible.
Apart from Higher Grounds Management, Coach Ty Mason also runs Journey Home. The non-profit organization aims to give at-risk youth and their families the chance to heal and recover by providing the tools they need to experience personal development.
