Sometimes life throws people on paths that aren’t meant for them for the sole purpose of getting them through the learning curves that those paths offer. That is the case of budding American Hip-hop artist and Instagram marketer Adrian Thomas Townsel, also known as Ayestí. Coming from Lima, Ohio, Ayestí has developed his artistic abilities over the years, drawing influence from rappers like Lil Wayne, T-Pain, and the late Juice WRLD. He’s a good storyteller who fuses catchy lyrics, complex melodies, and sick beats in each of his songs to give his audience something memorable, enjoyable, and relatable to enjoy.

He got into business from a young age, selling chips and running lemonade stands. His dream as a young boy was to own and operate a barbershop. That didn’t happen for him, but he decided on competitive gaming when he chose a career. Working a 9 to 5 never appealed to him, and he never thought of pursuing a regular job. He made it into the top 100 global rankings in competitive gaming and had his spot for six years straight. He dropped the controllers for college, where he obtained an Associate degree in Finance.

After college, his love for music developed, and he enrolled in a six-month program in audio engineering to hone his music production skills. He started creating music from his closet and started putting his name out there. He began by posting one-minute remixes to popular songs on social media. His remix to “Back in Blood” by Memphis rapper Pooh Sheisty gave him some popularity and has gained over 300,000 views on Instagram alone. Media outlets like FOX and CBS have featured him and his music. Some of his hit singles include “Mind Games” and “Martian,” which have amassed thousands of streams on streaming websites. Beyond creating music, Ayestí is an expert digital marketer, a skill he has used to grow his brand on social media. Within the last two years, he has built an organic following of 20,000 followers on his social media pages.

Since he kick-started his career in music, Adrian Thomas Townsel has always shown his willingness to learn and build from scratch. “I am the type of guy that will learn, learn and LEARN! I want to have all the knowledge of a record label and remain one person. I can mix music, harmonize, make a beat, find the key of a song, and generally speaking, nd singing. There is nothing in the music business that I am not willing to learn and master,” he says. Finding success for him goes beyond just him. He wants to be successful to help other people achieve success too. He wants to get to the top of the music business to lift other budding musicians who need promotion and investment to keep their careers going.

Playing a significant role in changing the music business space is everything Ayestí aims to achieve, and his commitment to making it happen is unwavering.
